pearsonPADUCAH, Ky. (8/27/14) — Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office arrested a Paducah man Tuesday afternoon after he delivered Oxycodone to the parking lot of a Paducah Business.

On Aug. 26 Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department received information that a Paducah man was selling prescription drugs and Marijuana. Detectives contacted the man via cell phone and arranged to purchase several doses of Percocet from the man. The man arrived on the parking lot of a Paducah business located at 3220 Irvin Cobb Drive on a moped to deliver the pills and was taken into custody.

The man was identified as 23 year old James Pearson Jr. of Paducah.

Detectives searched Pearson and located 20 doses of Oxycodone, five bags of Marijuana and $498 in US currency believed to proceeds of illegal drug sales. Pearson was unemployed at the time of his arrest. Pearson has prior conviction for trafficking in Marijuana. Pearson is charged with trafficking in a first degree controlled substance-Oxycodone second offense and trafficking in Marijuana less than eight ounces second offense

Pearson was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
