Rick-Taylor-and-his-wife-LiGREENVILLE, Ky. (8/29/14) — Magical Memories Photography is a new Muhlenberg County photography business, offering low-cost, high-value, wedding shoots and aerial photography services using a drone.

Rick Taylor owns Magical Memories Photography and he has been located in Muhlenberg County for about a year. Taylor moved to Muhlenberg after marrying his wife, Linda, who is the owner of Miss Hoss' Sweet Shop in downtown Greenville.

Taylor has been a professional photographer for about 10 years and has shot more than 100 weddings as well as sport teams and senior pictures. Taylor is an event photographer in that he does not have a studio for people to visit. He comes to the location of the shoot and does his work onsite.

"I offer professional quality at affordable prices," said Taylor. "My wedding prices are less than what others charge. In addition, you own your own pictures at the end of the wedding. Many wedding photographers charge for the wedding and provide a set number of photos. If you want more photos, you must pay more money. I provide the agreed upon photos, but I give a DVD copy of all pictures I have taken. This includes all the pictures taken in the days before the wedding and the reception after the wedding. I photoshop each of the pictures spending an average of 30 hours working on the photos. A full service wedding from me runs about $795."

Magical Memories Photography also offers aerial photography services. Taylor uses a drone, which has a range of almost a mile, to take aerial photos of buildings, land, or anything a person needs to get up high to see. Taylor said he can send his drone up to around 1,000 feet into the air and can take remarkable photos. The camera on the drone has a wide-angled lens so it captures a large area.

"The drone is easy to use," said Taylor. "If I lose control of it, or if it goes out of control range, the drone has a GPS unit that simply takes over and flies the drone back to the remote control. Given the range of the drone, it will be very rare for there to be a section of land that I cannot photograph. I usually charge about $150 for the use of the drone."

Taylor of Magical Memories Photography can be reached at (270) 316-4924 or found at 135 S Main Street in Greenville at Miss Hoss' Sweet Shop (270) 377-0290. Or, visit its Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Magical-Memories-Photography/796088627103056?ref=br_tf.
