Champion Resource Advocacy Applauds Paducah Workers

champ resource adv 300PADUCAH, Ky. (3/26/13) – Champion Resource Advocacy (CRA), a charitable organization is proud to honor the current and former nuclear worker employees at The Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, as well as at the other Department of Energy facilities across the nation.

These men and women are doing their part to protect the communities by containing, removing, and safeguarding the toxic and radioactive substances left over from the production of nuclear weapons during the Cold War. These workers are at risk doing work that is a service to our national security.

"Champion Resource Advocacy is dedicated to ensuring that Nuclear Workers receive the respect and recognition they deserve for their willingness to go into ultra-hazardous zones in order to restore the areas to a better condition," stated Ms. Hays, Executive Director of CRA.

"Many people also do not realize that these workers continue to keep America safe from Terrorism, by down blending the left over radioactive materials that the former USSR has stockpiled. This keeps the deadly isotopes off the black market and out of the hands of those who wish to do harm to millions."

Ms. Hays added, "Our mission is also to provide whatever help we can for those workers who become ill as the result of their workplace exposures without asking for poof of how they became ill.

That assistance may only be a shoulder to cry for now or recommending that they have a claim under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program."

"Ms. Hays' and CRA will be a valuable resource to the workers at Paducah," states Terrie Barrie, Founding Member of the Alliance of Nuclear Worker Advocacy Groups.

"Sometimes the general public does not realize what these dedicated workers face each day. I am thankful that Ms. Hays has taken up the banner on behalf of these workers. ANWAG looks forward to working with her on the issues."
