McCracken County Elected Official Charged on Sex Crimes with Minor

HAYDEn arrestedMCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (12/3/11) – Kentucky State Police have arrested and charged a McCracken County elected official for sex crimes following a three month investigation.
 
Just after 11:00 AM on Friday, Mark Hayden turned himself in to state police detectives at the McCracken County Jail. Hayden currently serves as a McCracken County Constable.
 
Kentucky State Police received an initial complaint of sexual abuse by Hayden in September. The alleged victim was 15 at the time of the offense. The abuse is alleged to have occurred over a period of months beginning in February of this year. Hayden is charged with 1 count of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, 2 counts of Sodomy 3rd Degree, and 1 count of Rape 3rd Degree.
 
Hayden was lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing by Detective Brett Miller with the Kentucky State Police.
