PADUCAH, KY (12/6/11) – On Monday, Dec. 5, the Paducah Middle School received a bomb threat at 2:13 PM.
According to school officials, the threat was for the Tuesday, Dec. 6. After evaluating the information, it was decided to evacuate the building using normal dismissal procedures. The authorities were notified and the school was searched and secured by Paducah Police Officers, the Paducah Fire Department, and Paducah Middle School staff.
School Principal Tim Huddleston has stated that, “Although we do not feel there is a safety threat, we have initiated additional safety precautions for students and staff for the beginning of the school day on Tuesday, December 6. I appreciate your support and patience in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school.”
