House Move in Henderson Planned to Start Wednesday Night

ky trans cab 300HENDERSON, Ky. (4/30/13) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has issued a permit for a house move in Daviess County starting Wednesday night, May 1.
 
Wolfe House Movers of Indiana plan to move a house from 5707 Ky. Hwy. 279 South to 5206 Medley Road in Owensboro starting at approximately 7 p.m., Wednesday night. The house is expected to move at a speed of about one mile per hour along the 10 mile route, arriving at the new lot around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.
 
Motorists who encounter this house move should be prepared to self-detour via side streets.
 
The movers are expected to take the house along the following route:
 
Starting at 5707 Hwy. 279 South to Ky. Hwy 279 North to Ky. Hwy 56 West to Ky. Hwy 279 North to West 5th Street to Lyddane Bridge Rd to Lee Rudy Road to Rudy Road to U.S. Hwy 60 East to Booth Field Rd. to Medley Rd West to the destination of 5206 Medley Rd.
 
This permit is good for 10 days should weather or other circumstances delay the move on Wednesday night.
