PADUCAH, KY (12/9/11) – On Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Travelers Inn & Suites at 2550 Lone Oak Road for a report of an attempted robbery.

Once on the scene, Deputies found that video surveillance showed an unknown individual wearing a ski mask entering the business and attempting to rob the clerk of money. The suspect did not produce a firearm but demanded money from the clerk.

After being told there was no money, the suspect fled on foot around the south side of the business and ran east to Bleich Road. Witnesses last observed the suspect on foot, headed east on Bleich Road.

The suspect is described to be a white male between 5’9 and 5’10 tall, approximately 280 to 300 lbs, with short dark hair. The suspect was wearing dark gray or black Carrhart type coat, a dark maroon polo type shirt, possibly with stripes, dark pants and a black ski mask with eye and mouth holes.

The photos from the robbery are shown here. The colors are not correct due to the monitor not being adjusted. The video makes everything dark appear to be light in color.

If anyone has information regarding this crime, please contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Department at 444-4719, or contact Crimestoppers at 443-TELL. Anyone with information leading to the arrest and/or conviction may be eligible for a reward up to $1000.
