Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm Charges

 

faulkner devinPADUCAH, KY (12/29/11) – On Saturday, Dec. 17, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a local man on charges of Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon and a warrant issued for Criminal Trespassing (3rd Deg.)
 
According to Sheriff’s Office officials, an officer made a traffic stop of a 1998 Pontiac at the intersection of Chesterhack and Old Mayfield Rd. at 4:48 PM for due to the fact that the vehicle showed no brake lights. The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Devin Faulkner of Metropolis, was revealed to have an active warrant out of McCracken County. Faulkner was taken into custody on the warrant.
 
A search of his person revealed a .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun. A criminal history check revealed that Faulkner was a convicted felon.
 
A Passenger in the vehicle Tar’resha Garrett, 19 of Paducah, who was also the owner of the vehicle, was cited for no insurance. Faulkner was arrested and transported to the McCracken Co Jail.
