PADUCAH, KY (12/26/11) – On Dec. 24, 2011, Christmas Eve, at around 2:19 PM, the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an accident with injuries on Old Mayfield Road.
Once on the scene, Deputies found that a passenger car, driven by 21-year-old Jasmine Copper of Paducah, was traveling west, when the vehicle came upon an SUV operated by 46-year-old Darrin Wells, also of Paducah.
Wells was stopped at the intersection of Old Mayfield and Berger Road at the time. Copper’s vehicle struck the SUV in the rear for unknown reasons.
Copper was transported by Mercy EMS to Lourdes for treatment. Wells traveled by personal vehicle to Lourdes Hospital.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Dep. was assisted by the Hendron Fire Dept. on the scene of the accident.
