opd arrestlog3 300OWENSBORO, Ky. (4/10/13) -- The Owensboro Police Department yesterday released the following arrest and activity report:

On April 8, OPD detectives executed a search warrant at the home of James D. Frey in the 600 block of Delray Court. Upon searching the premises, detectives allegedly found items that indicated an ongoing methamphetamine trafficking operation. Authorities said items discovered included two knotted baggies of suspected crystal meth weighing more than two grams, three digital scales, twist ties, baggies with corners missing, MSM, marijuana, a marijuana pipe, and syringes. All items were logged into evidence. Charges against Frey include Trafficking a Controlled Substance, first degree; Possession of Marijuana; Drug Paraphernalia- Buy/possess; and Failure to Notify of Address Change.

Police said also charged at the scene was Christie Tungate, Charges against Tungate include Trafficking a Controlled Substance first degree; Possession of Marijuana; and Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess.

Jennifer Dixon was charged following a traffic stop on April 8 at approximately 2:12 a.m. Authorities alleged Dixon was operating the vehicle under the influence, and in addition was operating in the wrong direction on a one way street. At 2:26 a.m., officers with Owensboro Police Department initiated the arrest and charged Dixon with the above charges. She was taken to the Daviess County Detention Center.

Other recent Owensboro Police arrests included:

Zachary Sumner, 500 block of Clay Court, on three counts of Contempt of Court;

Shelia Abney, 1300 block of Bowie Trail, Failure to Appear.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
