MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (5/27/13) – Mark Pogue (right) describes the final touches inside his new Chevrolet Buick GMC showroom to Tim Tucker. Pogue, owner of Pogue Automotive, tells SurfKY News that the Chevrolet building is nearing completion and the Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership is progressing well.

“We will not move into either facility until it is 100% completed” Pogue said. “We can’t get our operations going with construction workers getting in our way and us getting in their way.” Pogue said that management will move first and then the support functions. An exact opening date has not been set; but, September is the target month.

The new facilities will be state-the-art, giving customers the best experience anywhere. Pogue said that as an officer of the Kentucky Automobile Dealers Association, he has visited many automobile dealers in Kentucky. “I have gotten some great ideas with those visits and I am incorporating those technological advancements in my dealerships.”

Pogue Automotive recently purchased the Buick and GMC franchises. Mark Pogue said, “We have really tried to reach out to those customers in Hopkins County since the Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealership closed in that area.”
 
Pogue is not announcing how many employees will be added in the new facility; but, he is hoping for the need to hire a lot of new folks to meet the demand. Pogue Automotive is already one of the largest volume dealers in the Southeast. When customers experience the new Pogue dealership, they will be impressed.
