MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (9/23/13) – The Muhlenberg Marching Mustangs traveled to Glasgow this past weekend to compete in the Barren County High School Marching Invitational.
There were ten bands in the lineup, with Muhlenberg County placing first in class in the afternoon competition. Muhlenberg also took titles of Best Percussion and Best Color Guard. MCHS Also placed second overall in percussion.
In the evening finals, the Mustangs placed third overall. Adair County was Grand Champion and Russell County was Reserve Grand Champion.
The upcoming weekend has the Marching Mustangs in two competitions in Evansville. First up is the 32nd Annual Castle Marching Invitational, with starting time at 9:00 a.m. at Castle High School in Newburgh.
The Mustangs will then compete in the Evansville North Marching Band Competition on Saturday evening at 4:30 p.m. The competition will be held in Bundrant Stadium in Evansville.
The band will take the following weekend off for Fall Break and be back in competition at the Murray State Festival of Champions on October 12.
