breast ribbonMADISONVILLE, Ky. (9/30/13) – Madisonville North Hopkins High School’s volleyball team will host its “Dig Pink” night to raise funds for breast cancer awareness on Thursday, Oct. 3.

That night, MNHHS plays Hopkins County Central, with the freshman game starting at 5:30 p.m. Central’s team has been invited to take part, and there will be a competition to see which team’s fans raise the most money.

All teams will be wearing pink during the games. Afterwards, organizers hope to get a photo of both teams with any breast cancer survivors in attendance.

Anyone with a personal connection to the disease is invited to attend, wear pink, and support a great cause. Funds raised will go to The Side-Out Foundation, a support and advocacy organization established in 2004 to unite volleyball players and coaches to work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services.
