MADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/10/13) - Named after owner Nick Kreider’s great uncle, Main Street Jack’s is a place where you can find unique re-imaged finishes and furnishings for home or office.

Kreider said he first realized when he was re-imaging a vanity that he had a niche for the art. Now, his unique vision for furniture and décor. He centers his work on the base colors of what he wants to show through in the pieces he receives.

When looking closely at his work, his attention to the detail and his creative thought process is evident.

 “When I redo a piece, every part of it gets done. Every brush stroke, every sanded spot is very well planned out,” said Kreider. “I am not one of those who slaps it on, and roughs it up and calls it done.”

Not only can you find pieces that have been refinished, Nick also does custom pieces as well.

“I’ll get pieces from people to customize, I usually like to look at what else is in the room the piece will be in so I can get an idea of how I want to paint it,” said Kreider.

Kreider wants to offer something different to the community and said he doesn’t want to, “just blend in,” but create pieces that pop out and be remembered.

“I want to make something that everyone will like,” said Kreider. “I like to take something old that appeals to an older generation and change it enough to catch the eye of the younger generation.”

Main Street Jack’s is also part of the downtown Madisonville’s redevelopment and is located on 117 South Main Street.
