HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (1/9/14) - The following is your weekly update on local restaurant inspections for the Hopkins County area, courtesy of the Hopkins County Health Department.

•Debris build up under slicer
•Cups stored on floor in storage
•Eggs stored on top shelf in cooler

Minor Violations:
•Lid open on garbage disposal
•Cups used as scoops in food products
•Soiled wiping cloths stored on counter tops
•Walk-in freezer floor in poor repair
•Debris build up in cooler door tracks
•Thermometers needed in all cooling units
•Lights out in hood vent

Grapevine Baptist Church – 100
No violations

Hampton Inn – 100
No violations

Home Town Pizza – 97
Minor violations:
•Pizza boxes stored on floor
•Debris build up in bottom of cooler
•Debris build up under shelf

Kickin Kafe – 100
No violations

Maurice K. Gordon (American Legion) – 97
Minor violations:
•Liquid spillage in bottom of cooler
•Eggs stored above meat product in cooler

Pizza Express – 100
No violations

Pizza Hunt – 100
No violations

Subway – 98 (Madison Square)
Minor violation:
•Hangers or lockers needed for all jackets and personal items

The next food training class will be on February 11, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. If you or your employees would like to enroll, please call April at (270) 821-5242 ext 263.

If for any reason you can’t make the scheduled food training class, we will be willing to schedule different times or days.
