Phillips, a St. Louis-based writer, is the author of many darkly humorous - and sometimes - risqué novels, including "The Adjustment," "Rut," "The Ice Harvest," as well as his newest book, "Rake."
Jedidiah Ayres will speak on his debut novel, "Peckerwood," a novel about a small-time criminal in small-town America.
Phillips and Ayres are also the co-founders of Noir at the Bar, a live reading series featuring popular voices in noir and crime fiction.
The MCC event will be 7 p.m. Friday, April 25 in the Loman C. Trover Library located on the 2nd floor of the Learning Resource Center on MCC’s North Campus.
