MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (4/26/14) — There's a name that's been synonymous with home buying and selling in Muhlenberg since 1976 — Lynelle Eaves Realty.

Named for its founder, the company has 20 real estate agents under its roof, who take pride in belonging to both the National Association of Realtors and the Kentucky Association of Realtors.

“There are certain things that might not be against the law, yet might be against our code of ethics,” said Lynelle. “That's what is important about belonging to the NAR and KAR. We adhere to those standards.”

Each agent at Lynelle Eaves has individual strengths and traits that make them a good fit for the company, said Lynelle.

“Each agent has an individual expertise, that's what I like about them — they're individuals,” she said. “But all have some things in common like being organized, effective with time management; they like people and they have integrity. Integrity is the most important trait.”

Many things have changed in the years since 1976 in the real estate business with its ups and downs in the market. In 1976, the average sale price of a home in Muhlenberg County was $32,800. Today, the highest sale price average is $98,700, said Lynelle.

With realtor offices at 116 Mill St., Greenville and 905 Everly Brothers Boulevard, Central City, the company formed an auction department in 1996 to handle special tracts and division of land. The auction department handles not only land but also home auctions.

Regarding the company's longstanding in the community, Lynelle said Muhlenberg is both a wonderful place to live and work.

“I really want to say, 'thank you,' to the people in this county that have supported us through these years,” she said. “It's fed me and my family for 40 years. I'm sincerely grateful.”

Keeping up to date on the home loan market is key to helping provide the best service possible to its customers, which has helped the company remain strong, said Lynelle.

“Each Monday, we're looking for the best rates,” she said. “That's something we do like clockwork.”

Lynelle said providing listings on the company's website is a tool most clients find very helpful.

“We get about 3,000 hits on our website,” she said, “and, we also belong to Multiple Listing Service.”
