  • The Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce will hold a “Meet the Candidate” session with Matt Bevin from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 5 at the chamber office, located at 15 E Center Street. For more information, call (270) 821-3435.

  • The Hopkins County Board of Education will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. May 5 at their central office, located at 320 S Seminary Street. For more information, call (270) 825-6000.

  • The Hopkins County Planning Commission will have a work session Meeting at 10:30 a.m. May 6 at the Hopkins County Government Center, located at 56 North Main Street. For more information, call (270) 824-2100.

  • The Hopkins Fiscal Court Budget, Audit and Personnel Committee will have a special called meeting at 9:30 a.m. May 6 at the Hopkins County Government Center, located at 56 North Main Street,. For more information, call (270) 821-8294.

  • Hopkins County Fiscal Court will meet at 10 a.m. May 6 in the Fiscal Courtroom at the Hopkins County Government Center, located at 56 North Main Street. For more information, call (270) 821-8294.

  • The Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Sunrise Session from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. May 8 at Ollie’s Party Place, located at 601 McCoy Ave. For more information, call (270) 821-3435.

  • First Baptist Church will hold Spring Sing from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 9. The church is located at 246 N Main Street. For more information, call (270) 821-4171.

  • Madisonville Community College will be holding graduation ceremonies for AA, AS, and Nursing students at 5:30 p.m. May 9. Ceremonies for AAS degrees will be held at 7:30 May 9.
