kids-smillingHOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (6/5/14) — Madisonville Community College’s Summer Youth College 2014 will be held July 14-17 and registration is currently in progress.

Classes will meet from 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. each day in the Brown Badgett, Sr. Energy and Advanced Technology Center on MCC’s North Campus (2000 College Drive, Madisonville).

“We have seen a tremendous interest in this program every year. The participants learn while having fun. Our teachers and volunteers are wonderful and the kids enjoy being on campus. We love being able to provide this opportunity for them and offer classes that interest them. We are expecting a great turn-out again this year,” shared Brianna Pantano, Continuing Education Coordinator in MCC’s Workforce Solutions department.

Summer Youth College 2014 is for students entering the first through sixth grades in the fall.

Classes that will challenge the mind and stretch the imagination are planned and participants can select one class from each of the following choices:

Choice One:

In this course, you will work with your friends to meet these team challenges. Experience the thrill of success as you complete these obstacles with your new friends!

Participants will attend three classes that meet one hour each day and will be grouped into classes customized for their grade level (grades 1-2; grades 3-4; and grades 5-6).
