GREENVILLE, Ky. (6/28/14) — Quality furniture at affordable prices is the mantra for River City Furniture located in Greenville Ky. and Owensboro Ky.  River City Furniture is a family owned and operated by Mike and Debbie McPherson.  Mike is the son of Virgil McPherson, a 60 year business veteran from Greenville Ky.

River City Furniture has been open for business in downtown Greenville for 3 years. Tina Tague, the district manager for the stores said: "Mike McPherson wanted to get back to his roots and operate a family owned business in his family's home town."

River City Furniture is set up to serve anyone who walks through the doors.  It offers medium to high end furniture that fits most people's needs.  The store will also special order about any type of furniture that the customer may ask for.  The store features Bayne products, another family owned business, Bayne builds all of its products in Cleveland Tennessee.  Bayne sells a full line of couches, chairs, accent chairs, from which you may pick your own frame and choose your own fabric or upholstery.  The frames have a lifetime warranty and are a good quality product.  Bayne items are special order product that may take 6-8 weeks to order.

River City Furniture also offers lamps, pictures, rugs, mattresses, and about any other item one can think of for the home.  Tague said: "I am looking for local artists as I would like to start carrying artwork made by local artists."

River City Furniture also offers approved financing and free lay-away for 90 days.  The store will work with its customers on items that have been put on lay-away and will keep items a little longer if the customer needs the time.  Tague said: "We try to treat our customers like family. We have a strong commitment to customer care, we want our customers to be happy."

River City Furniture is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday in Greenville.  In Owensboro it is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
