Greenville tour 300GREENVILLE, Ky. (7/25/14) — There's plenty to do in downtown Greenville on Friday, July 25.

The Muhlenberg Arts Advisory Council and Muhlenberg Community Theatre Inc. are hosting their Fourth Open Mic Night of the summer at the Palace Theatre. The special night held each month was pre-empted in June due to the Palace presentation of the play “Nunsense”.

Melanie Cundiff Smith of the MAAC invites everyone to come show their talent.

"Come out and perform or just come see some amazing performers," Cundiff said. "Either way, it will be a fun time. Let me know if you need anything specific to present your performance. We have two mics and a piano available. We also have a sound system we can play CDs from. If you have anything you need, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate."

Call (270) 338-7165 for details and reservations. The entertainment is suitable for all ages so bring the family.

Meanwhile, out on the square in Greenville, it's another Friday Bike Night, with red hot bikes from near and far. There are trophies awarded in several divisions, and all proceeds go for much-needed equipment for the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department.

The event begins at 6 p.m., with live music this week from the group No Surrender.

Plus there's a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. There's always plenty of great food items to enjoy with vendors around the square area.

The event runs through Aug. 22 weather permitting. Find out more by calling the GFD at (270) 338-3305.
