GREENVILLE, Ky. (3/19/13) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is investigating a bomb threat at Muhlenberg South Middle School.
On Monday, March 18, 2013, at approximately 2:28 p.m., the KSP Post 2 Madisonville was contacted by Muhlenberg County Board of Education School Resource Officer Mike Drake in reference to a bomb threat at Muhlenberg South Middle School located at 200 Pritchett Drive, Greenville. A threat indicating that there was a bomb in the school had been discovered written on a wall of a boy's bathroom stall.
Emergency personnel from several agencies responded to the scene. Students were evacuated from the school. A search of the school was conducted by officers and a canine from the KSP Special Operations Section. No explosives or explosive devices were located.

KSP Detective Lloyd Ray is continuing the investigation. The Greenville Police Department, the Greenville Fire Department, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, the Muhlenberg County Board of Education School Resource Officers, the Central City Police Department, Muhlenberg County Emergency Management, KY Department of Fish & Wildlife, and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
