Warren County Man Arrested for Disturbance/Assault

arrest1 300BOWLING GREEN, KY (3/2/12) - On Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at 8:09 PM, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint that Richard Humphrey, of 3293 Garrett Hollow Road, was next door at 3311 Garrett Hollow Road causing a disturbance.

Humphrey was the subject shot by Captain Maxie Jones on Feb. 28 as a result of pointing a firearm at deputies. Humphrey was treated and released from Vanderbilt Hospital directly after the incident. Sheriff's Deputies responded to the complaint and finally located Humphrey at 3391 Garrett Hollow Road at Sandra Poteet's residence. Initially, Poteet advised that Humphrey had stopped there to use the telephone and was no longer there. A search of the residence yielded Humphrey hiding in the bathroom.

Humphrey was arrested for Assault Third Degree - Police Officer (stemming from the incident on Feb. 28) and Poteet was arrested for Hindering Apprehension Second Degree. Both were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
