MURRAY, KY (5/2/12) – Two students from each of the 16 Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) colleges were chosen for the All-Academic Team based on a rigorous selection process that focused on academic performance and a written essay.
The KCTCS All-Academic Team Scholars are part of a national program sponsored by national honor society Phi Theta Kappa, USA Today, and the American Association of Community Colleges.
The two students chosen to the All-Academic Team from Bowling Green Technical College were Crystal Andersen and Robin Brown.
Crystal Andersen of Bowling Green is pursuing an Associate in Science Degree from Bowling Green Technical College. She currently has a 4.0 GPA and is on the President’s Honor List at the College. Ms. Andersen is very involved in volunteer work at her home and church and serves as a volunteer math tutor at the College’s Learning Center. Her goal after graduation from Bowling Green Technical College is to transfer her credits to Western Kentucky University and pursue a career in teaching mathematics
Robin Brown of Glasgow is pursuing a Associate in Science Degree from Bowling Green Technical College. She currently has a 4.0 GPA and is on the President’s Honor List at the College. Ms. Brown is a volunteer at the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentuckiana and her goal is to complete her associate degree in Medical Information Technology and enter a career in medical billing and coding.
Ms. Andersen and Ms. Brown will be among 32 of Kentucky's top college students honored as members of the Kentucky Community and Technical College System's (KCTCS) 2012 All-Academic Team during a May luncheon in Lexington.
