WKU Offers Opportunity to Attend Presidential Inauguration

Election Obama Biden 300BOWLING GREEN, KY (11/28/12) – The Western Kentucky University political science department is taking a group to the inauguration of President Barack Obama on January 20-23.
 
The group will be taking a charter bus and staying for three nights in the Holiday Inn at Alexandria, VA. Students and faculty are able to go. The trip will cost $550 and a $200 deposit is due by Friday, November 30. The balance is due by Friday, December 14.
   
The cost includes the bus, metro pas, three night accommodation and a guided tour of Washington D.C. Attendees can also attend the inaugural ball, but the tickets are the responsibility of the attendee.
 
The group is tentatively scheduled to meet Congressman Brett Guthrie and Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell.
