Red Bus Project Comes to WKU

redbus 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (5/1/13) – The Red Bus Project was originally scheduled to be at Western Kentucky University on April 11, but because of weather, the event was moved to May 1.

The project has taken a red, double-decker bus that one would see in London and turned it into a mobile thrift store. All funds that come from purchased clothing goes toward orphan care in the world. The staff for the project said that every 18 seconds, a child becomes an orphan in the world.

A free meal was provided by Bethany Baptist Church from the Alvaton area. The Red Bus Project worked alongside WKU's Baptist Campus Ministry to make their event happen.
