Missing Person Report Results in Death Investigation of Henderson Native

breaking news body foundBOWLING GREEN, Ky. (1/23/13) – A search for a missing person in the Warren County area has, according to Warren County Sheriff’s Office officials, resulted in an ongoing death investigation.

On January 22, 2013, at approximately 11:46 AM, Warren County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a report of a missing person, 65-year-old Peter Schofield of Henderson, KY, in the area of 2700 block of Young's Ferry Road.

After an extensive search, the subject was located deceased near the residence. Investigation revealed that the subject was fatally struck while attempting to cut down a tree. The investigation is still on-going.

Assisting agencies include Warren County Emergency Management, Warren County Rescue Department, all nine Warren County Volunteer Fire Departments and Civil Air Patrol.
