MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (2/4/13) – A local family is currently in need of assistance from Muhlenberg County residents, and beyond.

Tyler Foster is the son of Michael Foster and Susan Foster. This young boy has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. In response, an event will be held at Muhlenberg South Middle School on February 23, 2013, from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. All funds from this event will go to assist the family through this time of hardship.

The benefit event, aptly titled, “Fight Like a Foster” will have live music, an auction, food, and more. The auction aspect is currently in need of donated items to auction off.

From the music aspect, some very popular local bands will be performing, such as Higher Praise Quartet, Macy Harris, and Scottie-Evelyn Brooks. As a bonus to the family in their time of need, Macy Harris’ music CD is currently available for sale with $5.00 of every one sold going towards the family.

At this time, the Foster family has stated that they have been shown outstanding support for Muhlenberg County and several other areas.

If you would like to donate an item for the auction or funds to the family, simply call 977-0143 or 977-1543. You may also contact the family on Facebook via the administrators of the Muhlenberg Marketplace Facebook page.
