BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (8/16/13) – SOKY Reads!—a community “one book” reading project—continues in its 10th year with programs focusing on the book Man in the Blue Moon by award-winning author Michael Morris.
Booklist says “Morris has created a magical portrait of a rural southern town on the brink of personal and global change…It is a beautifully written and deeply memorable story of abandonment and loss and the redemptive powers of hard work, faith, and forgiveness.”
Morris will lead a workshop “Writing Southern Fiction” at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 26 at Western Kentucky University’s Cherry Hall, Room 125. The workshop is free and open to the public. He will also be speaking and signing books at the Warren County Public Library on State Street in Bowling Green at 6 p.m. that day.
