Alcohol Related Accident on Blue Level Road

DRUNK DRIVING1 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (8/30/13) – Warren County Sheriff's Office received a call from Agero Telematics with BMW, advising of a collision with air bag deployment.
 
The operator at Agero Telematics wasn't able to make contact with the driver. Agero Telematics is a GPS based vehicle and driver safety and security service.
 
Upon Deputies arrival, a female, Linda Gregory, was located in the area of the collision complaining of injuries. Gregory stated that Nermin Omanovic was the operator of the vehicle and had fled on foot. The victim advised that Omanovic was under the influence of alcohol and had intentionally wrecked the vehicle. Gregory advised that she and Omanovic had continued an argument that started earlier in the day. Omanovic left the scene of the collision, leaving Gregory with serious injuries. Gregory was transported to the Medical Center for her injuries sustained in the collision and was later released.
 
Omanovic later came to the Warren County Sheriff's Office to obtain a release for the impounded vehicle and was interviewed by Deputies. After the interview, Omanovic was placed under arrest for the incident.
 
Omanovic was transported and lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
 
The investigation continues.
 
Omanovic's charges include Assault Second Degree-Domestic Violence, Leaving the Scene of an Accident / Failure to Render Aid or Assist with Death or Serious Physical Injury.
