BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (9/2/13) – On Saturday, August 31, at approximately 2:53 AM, Warren County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Old Barren River Road and Veterans Memorial.
The operator, Kimberly Bell of Bowling Green, was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence, Second Offense within 5 years. While at the jail, it was discovered that Bell had concealed a crack pipe and a small amount of crack-cocaine on her person.
Through further investigation, it was determined that Bell had left her two children alone and unsupervised. The children's ages are 10 and a special needs 16-year-old. Social Services was contacted and the children were removed from the home and placed with other family members.
Bell's charges include Careless Driving, Operator a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence Second Aggravated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance First Degree (Cocaine) First Offense, Promoting Contraband First Degree, Criminal Abuse First Degree (Child 12 or Under) and Criminal Abuse 1st degree (Child 12 or Under),
The Investigation is ongoing.
