SKYCTC Recognizes Work Ethic Seal Program Scholarship Recipients

sckctc 300BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (9/17/13) – Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) congratulates four area students who were selected to receive this year’s Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce’s Work Ethic Seal program scholarship.
 
Makenzie Brumit of Bowling Green High School; Stephanie Haley of Lighthouse Academy; Kaitlyn Mann of South Warren High School; and Richelle Cline of Warren East High School all received Work Ethic Seal program scholarships to attend classes at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College.
 
The Work Ethic Seal program prepares senior high school students for the transition from school to work and life beyond the classroom. Ensuring that high schools students are acquiring the needed work ethic in order to obtain and secure successful employment is one of the missions of the program. The program and scholarships are sponsored by the areas Chambers of Commerce.
 
“We are honored to partner with the area Chambers to offer the Work Ethics Scholarships to these deserving students,” says SKYCTC President Dr. Phillip Neal.
 
Students earning the Work Ethics Seal receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.
 
SKYCTC has the mission to improve the employability and quality of life of south central Kentucky citizens as the primary provider of: certificate, diploma, associate degree, and collegiate transfer programs; college and workforce readiness programs; workforce education and training; and adult and family literacy.
