City of Bowling Green App Now Available

city bowling green 300BOWLING GREEN, KY. (11/1/13) -- Residents of Bowling Green can now download an app for instant access to City services. The app can be found by searching "bowlinggreen" on an Apple or Android device. The app promotes on-the-go access to City services, maps, alerts, special event information, social media as well as other things.

Bowling Green is the first city in the United States to deploy this type of app. Between 25-35 percent of the City's website views come through mobile devices, so this is another part of the City's continued efforts to engage residents and customers where they live and work through a variety of social media outlets.

The app, created by AT&T, will be a direct interface between residents and City staff and will increase efficiency which will create better and faster responses to resident concerns or various problems. With the app, residents can send their GPS location when reporting a problem as well as taking a picture of the concern.
