ambulance Emergency medicsCROFTON, Ky. (2/3/14) — Kentucky State Police responded to a two-vehicle, injury collision at approximately 4:18 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 on the Pennyrile Parkway at the 19 mile-marker.

According to the Kentucky State Police report, Trooper Ryan Fox arrived at a two car collision and revealed a juvenile of Clarkville, Tenn. was headed northbound on the Pennyrile Parkway when he noticed a stranded motorist in the median.

The juvenile pulled over to help assist the occupants, when Kim Konczal, 47, of Madisonville lost control of her vehicle while attempting to slow down for stopped vehicles.

The juvenile was standing on the passenger side of his vehicle leaning into the passenger compartment, when both him and his vehicle were struck by Konczal. The impact forced the juvenile from his vehicle to the roadway, the report said.

Both juvenile and Konczal were transported to Jennie Stewart Medical Center for treatment.
