Friends of NRA Holds First Meeting in Preparation for 2014 Banquet

NRA grantsMUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (2/13/2014) - The Paradise Friends of NRA held its first annual meeting in preparation for the annual FNRA banquet at 11 a.m. Thurday, Feb. 13.

Items discussed at the banquet included general plans, the firearms that have been already ordered, and other raffles and auctions.

"The 2013 event was such a success that the Friends of NRA committee has already decided that there is an obvious need for more committee members," said Douglas in a news release. "So if you are interested in fun, fellowship, or fundraising, you can be confident that you are helping safeguard programs across the nation that prepare today's generations to be tomorrow's guardians of the Second Amendment."

During the meeting, the first firearm drawing was made-the winner was Brad Norsworthy of Hardinsburg.

This year's event will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Central City Convention Center.

Tickets for the event will be $30 each, which includes access as well as a meal.

As for the items available at the event, there will be auctions, games and raffles for numerous firearms, gun-related items, as well as an acoustic guitar signed by Charlie Daniels.

More information regarding the Friends of NRA banquet will be made available as further meetings are held.
