Vehicle and Horse Drawn Buggy Injury Collision

Horse buggyCHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (3/31/14) — Kentucky State Police responded to a vehicle and horse and drawn buggy injury collision off Kentucky 91, just four miles north of Hopkinsville Sunday, March 30.

According to the Kentucky State Police report, a Branden McGhee, 23, of Cerulean was traveling closely behind another vehicle that was following the horse and buggy, occupied by John Stoltzfus, 60, his wife Anna, 46, and their two sons southbound on Kentucky 91.

When McGhee passed the vehicle in front of him, he did not see the horse and buggy and was unable to stop in time, causing an impaction to the rear of the buggy, sending John Stoltzfus to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment, the report said.

The report also said that McGhee was not wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the collision.
