HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (4/4/14) — Acting upon information received from concerned Hopkinsville citizens, members of the Hopkinsville Police Department's Special Investigations Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives conducted an investigation into the possible illegal trafficking of narcotics.
The investigation led to officers to conduct two traffic stops and the execution of a search warrant on a local residence.
Arrested from a traffic stop was Lorenzo Dantonio Quarles, 31, of Clarksville, Tenn. Quarles was charged with trafficking in a con-trolled substance first degree first offense cocaine.
Arrested from a second traffic stop were Joseph A. Martin, 41, and Tosha S. Adcock, 23, both from Louisville. Both were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first degree first offense firearm enhanced (cocaine), trafficking in a controlled substance first degree first offense drug unspecified, and unlawful transaction with a minor under 16.The investigation led to the seizure of approximately 114 grams of crack cocaine, approximately 354 grams of powder cocaine, unspecified drugs, and two vehicles, a firearm, and approximately $16,900.
