drug arrests1 300WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (4/16/14) — The Bowling Green Warren County Drug Task Force, with assistance from Bowling Green Police and Kentucky State Police have released the following arrest reports April 16, 2014.

Raymond “Steamboat” Burch, 60, of 104 Amy Avenue, Apt 2, Bowling Green, Ky., was charged with engaging in Organized Crime, Class B Felony, Manufacturing Meth (Facilitation), Class B Felony, and Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor, Class D Felony.

Christopher Stewart, 27, of 1171 Adams Street #2, Bowling Green, Ky., was charged with engaging in Organized Crime, Class B Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor, Class D Felony.

Charlene Soyars, 34, of 104 Amy Avenue, Apt 1, Bowling Green, Ky., was charged with engaging in Organized Crime, Class B Felony, Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor, Class D Felony.

Gene Worley, 29, of 17911 Louisville Road, Bowling Green, Ky., 42101, was arrested March 28, 2014 and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Meth Precursor, Class D Felony.

The arrests occurred 9:30 p.m. April 14, 2014 following a three-month long investigation and surveillance by DTF Detectives of “smurfing” Pseudoephedrine in Kentucky and Tennessee. They were bringing the Pseudoephedrine back to this area to manufacture methamphetamine.

Police determined at least part of this group were using false id’s to circumvent the electronic tracking in both Kentucky and Tennessee. Police predicted this when trying to get Pseudoephedrine made a prescription drug in order to reduce or eliminate this crime. This group was also being cost effective as they were using manufacture coupons to make their illegal Pseudoephedrine purchases.

This investigation also resulted in the discovery of a meth lab in Edmonson County March 28, 2014. The Barren-Edmonson-Allen County Drug Task Force assisted with that part of the investigation.

The entire investigation will be presented to the Warren County Grand Jury in the near future. Police anticipate more individuals will be arrested as a result of the investigation.

All four were lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail pending arraignment in Warren District Court.
