WKU Senior Wins Screenwriting Award at Nashville Film Festival

nash-film-fest(Screenshot via 2014 Nashville Film Festival)BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (4/28/14) — Western Kentucky University senior Charles Dillon Ward of Murray won the Thriller/Horror Short category this weekend in the 2014 Nashville Film Festival Screenwriter Awards.

Ward, a student in the Honors College at WKU, won the award for his script “The Ants Go Marching.” The Nashville Film Festival’s first screenwriters’ competition attracted more than 1,500 entries in 25 categories.

As an Honors student, Ward has designed his own major, “Storytelling Traditions in Cinema, Literature, Art, and New Media.”
