Warren County Drug Arrest

arrested handcuffs blue 300WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (6/5/14) — The Warren County Sheriff's Office responded, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 4:56 a.m., to a complaint of a suspicious person in the 3600 block of Garrett Hollow Road.

A subject matching the description given was identified as Thomas Bowles. Bowles stated he was waiting for his girlfriend who was in a shed at 3642 Garrett Hollow Road. While investigating the suspicious person, deputies detected a very strong chemical odor that is associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine coming from the shed.

Deputies knocked and John Matlock, Brittany Peay and Mellissa Tichenor emerged from the shed. Deputies detained Matlock, Peay, Tichenor and Bowles.

Deputies received consent from the property owner, Jason Dean Borden, to search the storage building. Components of a methamphetamine lab were found along with suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia. A clandestine certified deputy gathered evidence and hazardous materials.

Jason Borden and Thomas Bowles are not being charged at this point in the investigation.

John Matlock, Brittany Peay, and Melissa Tichenor were arrested and each charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine First Offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance First Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
