Mayor's Budget Press Conference Set for Friday

Hopkinsville Seal 01 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (5/1/13) – Today, May 1, 2013, Mayor Dan Kemp announced he will hold a press conference unveiling his FY 2013-2014 budget recommendations at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3 in the Council Chamber of the Lackey Municipal Building located at 101 North Main Street.
 
Mayor Kemp’s budget recommendations will then be taken up by Hopkinsville City Council at multiple Committee of the Whole meetings.
 
Mayor Kemp remarked, “The public is invited to hear first-hand my budget recommendation for next fiscal year. I believe this budget continues my administration’s strong tradition of striking a balance between fiscal responsibilities and undertaking important community improvements.”
 
Both the Mayor’s budget address press conference and later Committee of the Whole meetings will be streamed live online and televised live on City TV Channel 12 and on May 16, 23 and 30 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
