WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (6/5/13) - The following is your weekly update of law enforcement activity in and around the Webster County area.
Police Chief Brent McDowell would like to report the following activities for the month of May:

Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield also reported the following accidents:
Thu., May. 23, 7:52 a.m.
Deputy Scott Starkey responded to an accident on US 41A, five miles outside of Dixon. According to the report, Silbia M. Aforo-Escobar, 25 and in possession of an International Driver’s License from El Salvador, was approaching the intersection of 41-A and State route 56 in a 1999 Toyota Camry. She reported being blinded by the sun as she attempted to turn onto 56 and did not see the 2008 Nissan Altima driven by Tamela Whitledge, 44 of Dixon until it was too late. No injuries were reported and both vehicles left under their own power.
Mon., May. 27, 9:11 a.m.
Sheriff Frankie Springfield responded to an accident on KY 109, near Clay. According to the report, Steve Rigdon, 57 of Wheatcroft, was traveling southbound on 109 when the passenger side tires of his 1992 GMC pickup dropped off the shoulder. He over corrected and skidded out of control. The vehicle exited the roadway and overturned, coming to rest on it’s wheels. Webster County EMS transported Rigdon to Union County Methodist Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries before being transported to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. His vehicle was towed.
