WEBSTER COUNTY, Ky. (7/24/13) - The following is your weekly update of law enforcement activity in and around the Webster County area.
Providence Police Chief Brent McDowell reported the following activities:
Mon., July. 15
•Charles Woodward, 31 of Providence, was arrested of a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court.
•Anthony Simms, 26 of Providence, was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court.
•John Rosales, 29 of Providence, was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court.
•Kris Rollins, 39 of Hopkinsville, was arrested on a warrant for Flagrant Non Support.
•Michael Belt, 38 of Providence, was cited to court for Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place.
Tue., July. 16
•Samuel Cosby, 18 of Providence, was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court.
•Jaymee Capps, 26 of Providence, was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court.
Thu., July. 18
•George McNary, 51 of Providence, was arrested on a Bench Warrant for Contempt of Court.
Chief McDowell also reported the following accident:
Mon., July. 15
•The Providence Police Department responded to a report of a collision in a parking lot on Princeton St. It was reported that Kristi Alexander of Providence back into a vehicle that was parked behind her.
Wed., July. 17
•The Providence Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch at Palmer Place on Hwy 41. Lottie Clayton, of Henderson, misjudged the entrance and drove her vehicle into a ditch.
Webster County Sheriff Frankie Springfield reported the following accidents:
Sat., July 13, 1:33 p.m.
Deputy Scott Starkey responded to a single car accident on US 41A, 5 miles north of Dixon.
According to the report, Kelsey Warford, 17 of Madisonville, stated that she ran off the shoulder of the road and tried to recover. She came back onto the roadway and lost control. Her 2013 Toyota Corrola struck a guard rail and went back off the road.
There were no injuries reported, but the vehicle was towed.
Tue., July 16, 1:33 p.m.
Deputy Donald Jones responded to a single car accident on KY 132, 2 miles west of Sebree.
According to the report, Charles Lingerfelter, 48 of Sebree, was westbound on 132 in a 2012 Chevy Van when a deer entered the road. Lingerfelter struck the deer with the left front fender, sending it into the windshield.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage, but remained in service. There were no injuries reported.
Webster County Grand Jury
The Webster County Grand Jury was in session on Tue. July 9, 2013 and passed down the following indictments.
•Cody Lee Denton was indicted on charges of 1st Degree Burglary, being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, 3rd Degree Criminal Trespassing, 3rd Degree Terroristic Threatening, 1st Degree Wanton Edangerment and 3rd Degree Burglary.
•Bruce Minder was indicted an a charge of Receiving Stolen Property (More than $500 but less than $10,000).
•Charles A. Woodward was indicted on a charge of 1st Degree Burglary.
•William E. Glore to Deanna Groves and Clifford Groves, property in Webster County.
•Lemuel Mobley and Neila Mobley to Rodney Williams and Lynda R. Bente Williams, property in Webster County.
•Gwendolyn Mae Melton and Barbara Morse to Clay Machine Works, Inc, property in Webster County.
•Dorothy Pryor Putty to Brad Watson and Debbie Watson, property in Webster County.
•Charles Messamore and Lovda Messamore to Frank Willey, property in Webster County.
•Billie D. Harvey to Jay Campbell, property in Webster County.
•Crystal Ann Rachel McGowan, 31 of Robards, to Nelson Urias Nunez, 22 of Robards.
•Tammy Renae Asher, 50 of Sebree, to Douglas Ray Morse, 49 of Providence.
•Angelica Jane Brussard, 18 of Providence, to Joshua Anthony Willhite, 19 of Providence.
•Kellie Renee Dennis, 36 of Clay, to Steven Douglas Garrett, 54 of Dixon.
