eyeglasses 300MADISONVILLE (10/18/13) — The large pumpkin at the will-call desk at Glema Mahr Center for the Arts is more than just decoration.

From now until Halloween, the pumpkin is a place, where people can donate old or used eyeglasses to help provide improved vision for others.

Annually, Halloween is Sight Night for Lions Clubs across the U.S. The Lions at Madisonville Community College have collection units at each of MCC's three buildings as faculty, staff and students are challenged to collect the largest number of eyeglasses.

Eyeglasses collected will be recycled and delivered to adults and chldren in developing countries during OneSight Global Clinics.
