owensboro-events 01OWENSBORO, Ky. (3/12/14) — The Owensboro Museum of Science and History is once again offering a variety of educational programs and events in honor of International Pi Day, Friday March 14.

Pizza by the Guy at 3115 Commonwealth Court will donate 10 percent of their sales that day to the museum.

All day long, patrons may dine in, carry out their food or place a delivery order at Pizza by the Guy and support the Museum of Science and History.

At 2 p.m. on March 14, the museum educators Todd Reynolds and Kim Ray will present a variety of activities in the museum’s third floor Biotech Lab, including:

  • A reading of Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi.

  • Make your own PI DAY bracelet to take home, with a different color of bead for each number.

  • Enjoy some Pi cookies and more.

The museum activities are free to members and included with the price of admission for non-members. Friday’s activities will also include a public Coal Mine tour at 3 p.m.
