Muhlenberg Teams Make Winning Showing in Baseball Tournament

cc-baseballCENTRAL CITY, Ky. (8/4/14) — The Central City Back-to-School Invitational Baseball Tournament took place over the weekend with teams in three age brackets participating.

The three brackets were 8 and under, 9 and under and 10 and under. Pool play for the tournament took place on Friday with the actual single-elimination tournament taking place Saturday.

The five teams participating were the Hoptown Velocity, Mclean County, Muhlenberg County, Southern Kentucky Bulldogs and Todd County.

The winners of the tournament are as follows:

Muhlenberg Black won the 8 year old and under division defeating Hopkins County.

Muhlenberg County won the 9 year old and under division defeating Bowling Green Wildcards.

Southern Kentucky Bull Dogs from Bowling Green won the 10 year old and under division defeating Muhlenberg County.
