WEBSTER COUNTY, KY (12/28/11) – Tuesday, Dec. 20, E-Z Shop in Sebree officially opened the doors of its newer, larger building.
The facility sets on the same site as the previous building first purchased by Palmer Oil in 1992.
E-Z Shop store manager Linda Greenfield, who has worked for Palmer Oil for about six years, said work began on the new station in September, and the old one was closed for demolition on Nov. 17.
She said running the new store has been a bit of a “new experience for me” when asked if there were differences in the new store. For one thing, the station now sells lottery tickets and is working to provide EBT services. The deli menu is also changing, with things like pizza already on the menu. Greenfield said other items will be added soon, including barbecue.
The convenience store, located on U.S. Hwy. 41, currently employs five full-time workers and one part-time worker. Greenfield said the store might hire more people for part-time positions within the next few months.
