ky small bizOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/18/12) - A national expert on small business, Marc Wilson, will make a stop in Owensboro on February 4th. Wilson will present a free seminar focusing on success in locally owned retail and restaurant operations, as part of the Small Town Merchant Program, in connection with the Owensboro office of the Murray State University Small Business Development Center (KSBDC).

Lois Decker, director of the Owensboro office of the Murray State Small Business Development Center told surfky.com news group that the "program will give small businesses a chance to get advice from Wilson, who has helped over 1000 retailers and restaurants, utilizing his experience of over 35 years of success as a small business owner. His two-hour presentation will counsel businesses on the best practices for customer service, cash flow, and more. We'll also have a drawing and Wilson will offer a limited number of businesses a free audit, to see what you are doing right and wrong, how to increase sales, just a new way to look at things you're doing as far as your business."

Breakfast will be served compliments of the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation.

The training session will be held on the third floor of the Chase Bank Building, at 200 East Third Street.
