WASHINGTON, D.C. (3/8/13) – A special agent with the Knoxville Division of the FBI was involved in a shooting while attempting to execute a search warrant and arrest warrant yesterday, March 6, 2013.
The incident occurred on Stapleton Road in New Market, Tennessee. The incident began around 7:30 a.m. when agents attempted to arrest the subject for distribution and possession of child pornography. The subject died as a result of injuries he sustained. Additional details are available on PACER.
In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under investigation by the FBI’s Inspection Division.
