HENDERSON, Ky. - Frances B. Harrell, age 85, of Henderson, KY, was called home to be with her heavenly father, at 2:50 AM, Sunday, December 30, 2012, at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY, after fighting a long and hard battle with Lymphoma since 2009.

Frances was born to Edith and Oliver Golday of Henderson, KY on March 11, 1927. She was the most optimistic person that you could have ever met. If there was a job to be done she did it whole heartedly. Her first job was when she was 16 years old working at the Hosiery Mill. After that was Atlas Tack Factory, then JC Penny's, and then one of her personal favorites was working at the Gleaner. Following the Gleaner she became manager of the Bowling League at Echo Lanes. Her last endeavor was the Ramada Inn as sales manager for the past 35+ years.

She was a long time member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Henderson. Her church and her "precious Ted Burke", as she called him, were very dear to her heart, as was her church family. Frances was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel. Some of her favorite past times were bowling, golfing and tending to her flowers. Among those she also enjoyed spending time with Denny and supporting the Henderson County High School athletics.
